Cycle Locks

The University has launched a new bike lock scheme to keep bikes safer and promote cycling. The scheme, in partnership between Security Services, the Environmental Sustainability Team and the Alumni ‘Your Manchester’ fund will enable all current staff and student cyclists to access good quality d-locks for £10-£15.

You are only eligible to purchase one lock. Duplicate orders will not be honoured. Product make and model may vary slightly.

Description

The subsidised lock scheme is open to students and staff at the University of Manchester only. Before buying a lock you must either (a) have already registered your bike on the University system or (b) contact Victoria Higham via email ( [email protected]) to arrange an appointment to attend a registration event. Once you have made your purchase an email will be sent out to you giving details of where and when to attend to have the security marking added to your bike frame and to collect your lock.

PLEASE BE AWARE – To qualify for the discounted lock you must register your bike on the free University scheme and have the additional security labels adhered to your bike frame, LOCKS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNLESS THIS HAS BEEN DONE. For details please see Read More.
