Do I need to pay for a replacement card?

You may need to pay for a replacement card, if the card is lost, please read the notes below:

If you wish for the card to be posted out to you, then you will need to pay the postage costs.

There are no additional charges if you collect your replacement card in person from a collection point

If you select collection, please attend one of the collection venues detailed below, you will need to provide proof of payment.

Proof of payment is the email confirmation sent to you, after you complete a payment on the e-store.  The confirmation email it will detail a payment reference number. You will need to show this at the collection point.

If you need your FIRST studentID card

Please DO NOT pay for a replacement card if this is your FIRST card and you have not completed the registration process, are on a period of interruption, or your registration has come to an end.

Lost Student Card

If you have lost your student card you can purchase a replacement.  The cost of a replacement is £10 and will be subject to additional delivery charges if you want the card posted out to your home address.

Replacement student cards will only be issued to students who are fully registered for the current academic year.

Stolen Student Card

Stolen Student Cards will be replaced free of charge if you have a Crime reference number otherwise you will be charged for the cost of a replacement student card.

If your card has been stolen, you can get a replacement free of charge on production of a crime reference number provided by the police.  Lost property logs and reference numbers are not valid. Please bring evidence of your crime reference number & student ID number to one of the collection venues detailed below. 

If you do not have a crime reference number please use the online store to pay for the replacement card

Expired/Damaged Student Cards

Expired or Damage cards can be free of charge if you bring your old card to a collection venue

If your card has expired or is damaged and no longer works, you can get a replacement free of charge. Please bring your expired/damaged card with you to one of the collection venues detailed below. 

If you do not have your damage card with you, you may be asked to pay for the replacement card via the online store.

Student card collection venues:

Students can collect their student cards from their Student Support Hub or Doctoral Academy
