Tropical Biology (BIOL20682 – Summer vacation 2011). This course takes place in Ecuador. The initial part of this course will be spent on group work in the cloud forest and the remainder of the time on individual projects in the rainforest of the Payamino Reserve. This course is an integrated part of ProjectoPayamino, a conservation and development project with an indigenous community. Accommodation in the cloud forest is excellent. Accommodation in the rainforest is basic and there is a 4 hour canoe ride to get there from the closest ‘town’. (you will be expected to buy your own air ticket)
