Detailed Description

The PIAT Programme

Developed in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry, the PIAT Programme is a postgraduate-level training programme designed for scientists and managers working in the pharmaceutical industry in the fields of Industrial Pharmacy, Clinical Trials, Pharmaceutical Business Development and Licensing, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. The programme is administered by the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, which obtained the highest ratings available in recent teaching and research assessments.

How PIAT Works

We offer a range of modules across four different programmes from which you can select your own personal learning pathway. When you choose a module, we supply you with the teaching material for you to study in your own time. You need to complete the exercises, assignments and examinations as required for each module. We run a summer school here in Manchester for the Industrial Pharmacy, Microbiology and Clinical Trials programmes, and a winter school in London for the Business Development and Licensing programme. Throughout your studies you have access to your tutor to provide additional help and guidance.
