Detailed Description

The PIAT Programme

Developed in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry, the PIAT Programme is a postgraduate-level training programme designed for scientists and managers working in the pharmaceutical industry in the fields of Industrial Pharmacy, Clinical Trials, Pharmaceutical Business Development and Licensing, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. The programme is administered by the School of Health Sciences at The University of Manchester.

How PIAT Works

We offer a range of modules across four different programmes from which you can select your own personal learning pathway. For each module we supply you with the teaching material for you to study in your own time.  You will need to complete the Exercises, assignments and examinations as required for each module.  Twelve months are allowed to complete each module, and throughout this time you will have access to a tutor for additional help and guidance.  We run a summer school here in Manchester for the Industrial Pharmacy, Microbiology and Clinical Trials programmes, and a winter school in London for the Business Development and Licensing programme.  Attendance is not compulsory, but past assessment results demonstrate that it is extremely worthwhile!
